Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic disease of the large intestine which, together with Crohn's disease, belongs to the group of "inflammatory bowel diseases" (IBD). The word "colitis" means inflammation of the large intestine; "ulcerative" emphasizes its distinctive feature—the formation of ulcers.

Osteoporosis is a skeletal disease characterized by decreased bone density and increased fragility due to disruption of bone tissue metabolism with predominance of catabolism over bone formation processes, reduced bone strength, and increased fracture risk.

The skin is a mirror of the body, through whose reflection one can assess ongoing internal processes. Intervertebral herniation is a common condition. It occurs more frequently in individuals over 40 (though it can be diagnosed at younger ages). The cause is degeneration of muscular and connective tissues. With age, the spine essentially "settles"—vertebrae compress closer together, intervertebral discs flatten and protrude beyond the spinal column. The result is compression of nerve roots, leading to acute pain in the lower back and legs.

Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis. It is typically associated with joint aging or past injuries. It progresses asymptomatically, though pain and limited mobility are occasionally observed. The condition frequently affects finger joints, where firm, painful nodules develop, as well as the spine.
